Here is an easy way for you to make some extra cash. You’ve all seen the BoxTops for Education on products you buy . They are on popular General Mills products from Cheerios to Green Giant Vegetables. We all know that you can save them for your school and they can get money for them, but what if you don’t have a kid in school ? What if you just plain could use the money for yourself ?
Well , YOU CAN ! Sell your Boxtops on Ebay and make nearly as much as the school ! Take a look at this recent auction. 500 boxtops are selling for over $60 !!!
Now why would people pay MORE than what their school will get ? (10cents ea x 500 = $50) I don’t understand that but perhaps their kid is in a contest or something to win a pizza party. I don’t know . If you know – leave me a comment here and let me know.
In the meantime , I’ll just keep piling up my boxtops . I trimmed and counted what I had accumulated in my UPC drawer from the past month or so and I have 52 sitting here. That included a 20 bonus boxtop cash register printout. So hey thats found money. Figure on getting at least $10 for ea 100 tops you save.
I’ll wait until I have accumulated them for a few months and then I’ll put them up for sale. I like FREE money I would have tossed in the trash can anyway on our Cheerios and Nature Valley Granola boxes. Wanna make more ? Ask your relatives to save them for you also (along with their Sunday Coupon inserts).

There could be a contest at school like a pizza party for the class that brings in the most and this nice mom is buying them for her kid’s class…You’d get more kharma points by collecting them and donating them to a local school than selling them on ebay. Just something to think about:)

Wow I am really surprised! I never would have thought of that.
Wow, I didn't know they were being sold on Ebay. I'm not sure why someone would pay more than they're worth. I save them for my kids' schools. I like knowing that I'm contributing in some small way.

I have also saw gift cards selling for more than they are worth. It is very odd!
